I repeated my mantra three or four more times, just like every morning for the past 15 years, with the only change being the field of age. It serves as a map, as a specification of the coordinates.

With the head I carry and with the quantities of chemical substances I have imposed and continue to impose on it, it is a miracle how it reassembles every morning, to tell the truth. No matter how much I try to kill this brain, it survives. I laughed bitterly at the thought, mainly because I was aware of my situation, but did nothing to improve it.
