Ultimately, what happens with our parenting behavior? Is it something we decide upon when we become parents - or even before that? Many of us - especially those who did not have a good experience with their own parents - often say: 'I will raise my children completely differently!'. But is that easy? Can we make a purely conscious decision now and actually behave that way when 'the pots are boiling' inside us, caused by a completely silly - to us - stubbornness of our child?

'I couldn't believe I would say to my child what my parents said to me...', wondered a parent, when he was startled by his outburst of anger due to his little son's provocative behavior. Is our parenting behavior 'built' long before we have what we call 'Consciousness'?
