The corruption and its fight had a direct relationship with the subject of my work at the Bank of Greece, where I worked as an inspector for thirty-four consecutive years.

In investigating the phenomenon of corruption at both a practical and theoretical level, I continually encountered a fundamental question: Could the global capitalist system with its obscurities be characterized as corrupt?
