Daiwa introduced Zaion as an alternative material for the body of the reel, creating a significant revolution in the market, as it is a type of carbon with much greater stiffness than other carbons. It is also used in the Legalis, making the weight of the reel even lighter, while the strength of the body and rotor is even greater.

The ATD drag system added makes the Legalis one of the best choices for using fine lines, achieving linearity and eliminating line jumping. The reel features 6 bearings, with one serving as the anti-reverse, providing excellent operation without play.

The new Air Spool added, combined with the extremely lightweight handle, makes the Legalis feather-light.
