Studies on the theory and themes of children's and adolescent literature, the teaching of poetry, reading promotion, reading clubs, creative writing and expression - The knowledge book.
In the First Part, studies on the theory and themes of children's and adolescent literature are presented. Initially, through a range of books from both Greek and translated literature for children and adolescents, an attempt is made to trace their realism and to highlight its subtle expressions. Subsequently, a series of studies approach contemporary children's and adolescent literature from the perspective of interculturality and ecological theory. The narrative style of magical realism in works by Greek authors of children's literature is also examined.
Finally, by describing the "literary" lesson of Mathematics within the context of the possibilities and difficulties offered by a text (fragmentary image, implied expressions, abstraction), the perceptions that pervade it are examined.
The knowledge book constitutes the exclusive treatment of the Second Part. It represents a largely unexplored area in the Greek reality. In this specific study, the knowledge book is examined within the framework of the three poles of the reading/creative process: the author, the text, and the reader.
In the Third Part, studies are presented within the context of teaching practice, particularly creative writing. Initially, a plan is proposed for approaching poetry, which is based on students' experiences and connected to their involvement in primary creation. Subsequently, as a result of research activity, we propose a reading promotion plan based on ecosystem theory.
Furthermore, the study on reading clubs aims to establish a theory with practical parameters for a topic that has been tested in the Greek reality in recent years. Believing that literature can cultivate theater lovers, just as theater can cultivate readers, we propose certain actions based on specific theoretical principles.
Finally, a creative writing workshop (from narration to summarization) is theoretically developed and empirically described, followed by the production of a more complex written work, and then "filmic" language (from summarization to the creation of a story, or from visual representation to the creation of an improvised/handmade short "film").
