Fewer and fewer people today use the Vlach language, and also fewer and fewer people today speak it. Today's reality "speaks" of a language that is disappearing, taking with it a significant part of the cultural and cultural identity of the Vlach community.

An unfortunate development, as the Nobel Prize-winning Mexican author Octavio Paz wrote previously, "with every language that dies, an image of humanity fades away."
