The Axagon PCEM2-D adapter connects up to two M.2 SSDs to a desktop computer via PCI Express, even if the motherboard does not have an M.2 slot. It supports simultaneous operation of SATA (AHCI) and NVMe (PCI Express) drives, with a dedicated B-key slot for SATA and an M-key slot for NVMe. The card features copper heatsinks for heat dissipation and dual indicator LEDs for power and data transfer.

It is powered directly by the PCI Express bus, with no need for an external power supply. The package includes mounting brackets for standard and low-profile cases, thermal pads, a 50 cm SATA data cable, mounting hardware and a screwdriver.
