The AXAGON PCEM2-1U adapter connects an M.2 NVMe SSD to a computer via the PCI-Express 3.0 bus. It supports drives with an M or B+M key, single-sided or double-sided, and works in PCIe x4, x8 and x16 slots. The LED indicates connection and data transfer, while the thermally conductive pads and copper vents help dissipate heat.

The low-profile card can be used in desktop computers without an M.2 slot and in 1U rack servers. It supports booting from the SSD and Plug and Play operation without installing drivers, and is powered directly by the PCI-Express bus.
