Description

Description

For modern and effective management of health services, a comprehensive health reform policy is required that will utilize all modern capabilities.

There is an imperative for the development of the public health sector and its connection to the primary care network system. There is a need for modernization and autonomous management of hospitals, an independent evaluation mechanism, assimilation of digital transformation, and financial support for human resources, especially for young doctors.

The development of chronic disease centers, support for remote areas, and an efficient national pharmaceutical policy are additional demands.

The book aims to compile the relevant theoretical knowledge but mainly the empirical and research-based insights. Students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, healthcare professionals, and business executives will find a comprehensive mapping of the above.

Good book. However, it does not address the more serious pathology of the National Health System, which is the quality of services. Or at least it deals with it very theoretically and does not provide tangible issues for understanding the quality of services and how it can be improved. There is no lack of staff or resources in the National Health System. The doctors have insufficient knowledge and learn "the hard way," which is why all the patients leave the provinces and come to Athens to get their work done, where there are reputable scientists.
