"Criticism" remained true to its initial commitments: it became a vehicle for the First Postwar Generation, highlighting the critical discourse of intellectuals, primarily poets-critics, of the early postwar period, and thus took the first step in their systematic expression; it did not become ideologically confined within the ideological and political disputes of the era, because it exercised control and criticism using democratic and pluralistic terms, which is why dialogue through the magazine's pages found fertile ground.
