Urban Empire for PC combines city building with political management, as the player takes charge of a dynasty of mayors and guides their city through 200 years of history. Starting in the 1820s and spanning five different eras, they plan districts, develop infrastructure and try to get their policy decisions passed by the city council.
The city’s course is shaped by political conflicts, historical events and technological advances. The player can choose from four ruling families, each with five characters, and manage citizens’ needs, including happiness, safety and public services. Up to 1,000 dynamic events cover issues such as women’s rights, the hippie movement and child labour.
