Description

The circuit breaker is one of the basic and widely used automation protection devices used to limit the consequences arising in the event of a short circuit and overloads in the electrical installation. The flow of current with excessive intensity in relation to the nominal value of the circuit breaker causes its release and the interruption of the powered circuit. This function aims to protect devices and installations from damage, protect individuals from electric shock, and ultimately prevent the outbreak of fire. Due to its parameters, it is often used in residential electrical installations to protect lighting, socket, and control circuits.

The construction of the circuit breakers allows for the installation of additional equipment, such as auxiliary contacts, through which remote signaling of the device's operation is possible. The circuit breaker can also be equipped with pressure relays, which remotely open the contacts of the circuit breaker at the moment pressure appears, or with undervoltage relays, which activate the circuit breaker in case of a drop in pressure relative to the nominal value.

The circuit breakers are mounted on a TH-35 mounting rail. The short-circuit breaking capacity of this circuit breaker is determined at a level of 10kA.
