I will write my own experience regarding Carlinkit, for which I researched quite a bit before purchasing it and judging it to be very good, I bought it. First, I should mention that I connected it to a Hyundai i30 2023. It only worked in Android Auto mode and not in Apple Carplay, even though the car supports both (it has 2 connection modes).
Positives:
As for the speed it takes to boot up, it is really quite fast (around 30 seconds). Its menu is quite good, rich, fast, and customizable.
BUT:
Incredible delay on calls via Bluetooth to the point where everyone tells me they can hear themselves (while with a direct Bluetooth connection from the phone to the screen, I never had any problems) and it does not support the controls on the steering wheel, even though it said it would (they perform some functions when pressed, but not the ones that matter and they are not programmable either).
I also contacted the manufacturer who sent me a firmware update, which did not fix any of these issues and told me that there is no possibility to customize the steering wheel buttons and the delay (echo delay) on calls (not even from some hidden menu).
So whoever wants it just for talking, it is useless. As Android Auto, it is good.

Απίστευτο delay στις κλήσεις μέσω bluetooth σε σημείο να μου λένε όλοι ότι ακουν τον εαυτό τους (ενώ με απευθείας σύνδεση bluetooth τηλεφώνου με οθόνη δεν είχα ποτέ κανένα πρόβλημα) και δεν υποστηρίζει τα χειρηστήρια στο τιμόνι ενώ έλεγε πως ναι (κάνουν κάποιες λειτουργίες πατώντας τα αλλά όχι αυτές που πρέπει και δεν προγραμματίζονται κι όλας)
Επικοινώνησα και με τον κατασκευαστή ο οποίος μου έστειλε firmware update, που δεν διόρθωσε κάτι από αυτά και μου είπε οτι δεν υπάρχει καμία δυνατότητα παραμετροποίησης των κουμπιών του τιμονιού και της καθυστέρησης (echo delay) στην κλήση (ούτε από κάποιο κρυφό μενού).
Οπότε όποιος το θέλει και για να μιλάει, είναι άχρηστο. Σαν android auto, καλό είναι.
