Humanity, having faced extinction at the end of the 20th century, would not have entered the new millennium if it weren't for them. In 1969, during their youth, they created a symbol. In 1997, as the impending disaster begins to unfold, this symbol returns.
The story unfolds in 2014, and New Tokyo is completely under the control of Friend. Kanna decides to stand up and avenge Kenji – will she be able to gather enough support for her cause? Kanna heads to a mafia-controlled casino and quickly finds herself at a high-stakes table. Is she lucky (and smart) enough to turn the odds in her favor in the strange and fast-paced game of Rabbit Nabokov?
While Kanna gathers her forces, Koizumi Kyoko experiences real terror at the re-education camp known as Friend Land. Going back in time in the virtual world, she meets Kenji and his friends as boys in 1971 and sees something strictly taboo: Friend's face in his childhood! Will she manage to return and report Friend's identity?
