The Canon imageFORMULA DR-M140II scanner digitizes A4 documents and business cards at an optical resolution of 600 × 600 DPI. It scans both sides at speeds of up to 40 pages per minute or 80 images per minute in duplex mode. The automatic document feeder holds 80 sheets, and the maximum scan size is 216 × 5588 mm.

It supports U-turn or straight paper paths to accommodate the thickness and type of original. Ultrasonic double-feed detection identifies feeding issues, while the bypass button lets you continue scanning in special cases, such as envelopes or documents with notes. Image processing features include deskew, automatic color detection, text enhancement, blank-page removal, and MultiStream.
