With the well-known dual-layer quick release plates of its predecessor, the RS 4 makes mounting and balancing your camera a breeze. The horizontal plate has been newly designed for faster transitions to vertical shooting. A detail button adjusts the tilt axis to move your camera forward or backward. The top plate has additional mounting guides for secure camera placement.
The improved performance, vertical shooting, and expanded accessory system make the new DJI RS 4 Pro gimbal a powerful tool for use with mirrorless cameras. It weighs only 1.24 kg and can load 4.5 kg, capable of supporting the build of a camera. Teflon-coated axes reduce friction for smoother balancing and operation. Other user-friendly features include an adjustment button, an automatically locking OLED screen, and an RSA communication port for use with expanded accessories.
Second Generation Quick Release Plate Design
With the well-known dual-layer quick release plates of its predecessor, the RS 4 makes mounting and balancing your camera a breeze. The horizontal plate has been newly designed for faster transitions to vertical shooting. A detail button adjusts the tilt axis to move your camera forward or backward. The top plate has additional mounting guides for secure camera placement.
Compatibility
For a complete list of compatible cameras, refer to the latest compatibility information on the DJI website.
Second Generation Automated Axis Locks
When the gimbal is turned off, you can press and hold the power button and the three axes will unlock while the gimbal automatically extends, allowing you to start shooting in just two seconds. Press the power button once and the axes automatically lock and enter standby mode, making a move or storage significantly more efficient.
RSA communication port
The RSA communication port allows you to integrate Ronin series accessories into your gimbal system. Add accessories specifically for Ronin or third-party manufacturers with control capabilities to switch between different shooting configurations. The DJI RS SDK protocol will enable third-party manufacturers and other developers to create future custom functions for the RS 4.
Wireless Shutter Control
With the Dual-Mode Bluetooth application, the RS 4 Pro supports wireless shutter control, saving time and effort with every use. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and photo shooting by simply pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Cameras that have been paired previously can be reconnected automatically after the first use, eliminating the need for a camera control cable.
Upgraded ActiveTrack Pro
Tracking in the Ronin series has never been more accurate or more efficient. The next-generation ActiveTrack Pro can read images directly from the camera built into the Focus Pro LiDAR Autofocus, without the need for the Ronin image transmitter. When using ActiveTrack Pro, you can track directly or frame the subject on the OLED touchscreen of the RS 4 Pro. The new optional LiDAR module can project 76,800 ranging points in a 20-meter area.
Complete Controls
By simply sliding the new gimbal function switch, you can toggle between Pan follow, Pan and Tilt follow, and FPV modes. The FPV mode option is also customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, allowing you to adjust your equipment and get started as quickly as possible. Other smart features include motion-lapse, track, and panorama.
The trigger button can be customized to the FPV mode, which makes the three axes follow the direction of the grip's movement when held down.
Car Mount Function
The new car mounting feature optimizes stabilization specifically to accommodate vehicle vibrations and air resistance for steady shooting.
Fourth Generation RS Stabilization Algorithm
Powered by a next-generation stabilization algorithm, the RS 4 Pro provides improved stability compared to the RS 3 and offers easy vertical shooting, with low angles and fast speeds. The motor torque on all three axes has been increased by 20% for greater power.
Automatic OLED Screen Lock
The RS 4 Pro is equipped with an OLED touch screen with a new auto-lock function. Once locked, the screen will display the current movements of the gimbal and joystick at low brightness to prevent accidental activation and save battery.
Comprehensive Monitoring and Control
Remotely adjust the camera exposure directly in the Ronin app or control the gimbal with the virtual joystick for a comprehensive monitoring and control experience. With the Ronin Image Transmitter, a smartphone can be used as a motion controller for the remote control of the RS 4 Pro for more flexible and dynamic camera movements.
