On December 4 and 5, 2015, an academic symposium was held in Thessaloniki, at the premises of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in honor of the recently retired Professor Nikolaos Nike.

The symposium's theme was: "The political trial at a critical juncture," and it was organized by the Subsection of Civil Procedure of the Civil, Civil Procedural, and Labor Law Sector of the Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in cooperation with the Thessaloniki Bar Association.

This publication includes the presentations of the symposium in the order they were delivered, dedicated by the authors to Professor Nikolaos Nike as a small token of gratitude and affection.
