Description

Capabilities

The Sonoff Micro is a smart USB adapter that transforms any simple USB device into a smart one, offering complete control via Wi-Fi. It is ideal for managing mobile phone chargers, USB lamps, desk fans, or other small devices powered by 5V. With its ultra-compact and portable design, it allows you to automate your devices without the need for complex installations, simply with "Plug and Play" connection.

Smart Charging Management and Automations

Through the eWeLink app, the user can set schedules and countdown timers for automatically cutting off the power supply. This feature is especially useful for protecting smartphone batteries, as it can stop charging once it is complete. Additionally, it supports control via local network (LAN Control), allowing device management even when there is no internet access, as long as the phone and the adapter are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Voice Control and Device Collaboration

The adapter is fully integrated into the popular Amazon Alexa and Google Home ecosystems, allowing you to turn connected gadgets on or off with simple voice commands. It also supports the creation of Smart Scenes, where the USB status can trigger or be affected by other Sonoff devices in the home. The Power-on State function ensures that the device will return to the desired state (on or off) as soon as power is restored after an outage.

5 stars because it does 100% the job I want. That is, to use a device remotely in places where there is no socket, with a power bank. For example, you can put a phone to record (security camera) inside a flowerpot, a window, etc., and charge its battery remotely every time it runs out. It connects easily, PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS otherwise you will have trouble. Another problem is that when you turn off the power bank with the sonoff, it turns off after a while (to save energy), resulting in not being able to turn the sonoff back on. Then you trick it with something that uses a little power, e.g. a zero-consumption light, so it never gets the chance to turn off. The Intenso power bank I use fortunately always remains slightly active. Wonderful product, I have already ordered three more.

I had a lot of problems pairing it with the eWeLink app on iOS, even though I have many Sonoff devices with which I never had such a problem.

If you encounter a problem with pairing, there is a solution shown in the photo.

Well done for having such a product in USB.. I connected it to the router relatively easily.. I have it on an IP camera in case it gets stuck, I can turn it on/off.. Before, I had set a timer to open/close it.. Overall satisfied.. Okay.

I read reviews and everyone says that it does what it says!!! And that's exactly it!!!
I have three cameras that are powered by USB, but after the last two or three updates, they freeze and require a restart, so instead of unplugging them every 40 hours of operation from the power, I decided to go with the Sonoff solution.
I also set up some schedules and they automatically open and close, so I solved my problem.
They also have a pretty fast response and plenty of settings.
Some people write about difficulties in connecting or losing the connection and then needing to reset the Sonoff. I didn't encounter any problems anywhere!!

It does what it says and the application is very good. An important feature in the Sonoff app is the ability to choose the state in case of power outage or device disconnection. That means whether the device will be closed or open. This is also important in other Sonoff products where you don't want a lamp to remain on, as is the case with smart LED lights, for example.

However, I give it 4 stars because it didn't work for the task I needed it for, which was to remotely control when a power bank supplies power, as it draws 0.2A, so it consumes a lot of energy from the power bank.
