Laguiole, a small village in Aveyron, France, gave its name to the famous knife with the curved handle decorated with the legendary bee. Laguiole is not a knife brand but a knife design that many manufacturers make with different techniques and materials. Claude Dozorme was the first in France to put his name on filet knives with a fixed, non-folding blade.
