  • Built-in brightness sensor.

The operating principle of the laser distance sensor Time of Flight involves emitting a beam of light and measuring the delay of the returning light due to reflection from an obstacle. This allows for the precise determination of the object's distance. This distance is compared to the specified detection range. If something is detected within a distance smaller than the specified value, the light is activated. This solution works flawlessly for activating lighting circuits, e.g., in open staircases, where it is important for the sensor to detect presence only on the stairs and ignore anything else.
