Italeri: 1:56 World of Tanks Roll Out - Pz. Kpfw. VI Tiger
The development of the Tiger began in 1937. Mass production started in 1942 with a total of 1,347 vehicles being manufactured. Its design was iconic, featuring suspension similar to that of the Panther and a hull that extended over its tracks. This could accommodate a wider turret that carried the famous 8.8 cm Kw.K 36 L/56 gun. The Tigers first saw combat in the battle for Leningrad and soon participated in the majority of German armored engagements. It was the first German heavy tank of World War II and proved formidable against Allied and Soviet units mainly consisting of Sherman and T-34 tanks.
