Killzone 2 for PlayStation 3 takes place two years after the Helghast attack on the planet Vekta, and the ISA now brings the war to the enemy's planet, the world of Helghan. The ISA's objective is clear: capture the leader of the Helghast - Emperor Visari - and dismantle the Helghast war machine.

Assuming the role of Sev, a battle-hardened war veteran and member of the special forces unit known as Legion, you will lead a team of elite soldiers on a mission to neutralize the Helghast threat.

However, for Sev and his team, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing the capital city of Pyrrhus, the team quickly realizes that the Helghast, a formidable opponent on Earth, are an almost unbeatable enemy on their own planet. Not only have they adapted to the planet's hostile conditions, but they have also harnessed an energy source that they can use against the ISA!
