This book includes all my texts and interviews published in various print and electronic media during the period 2019-2023. They document political, social, and economic issues that occupied the public sphere in Greece, Europe, and the World, forming pieces of a complex mosaic reflecting the context in which they were written.
These texts revive in our memory public discussions and events that marked a specific era, while others contribute to the interpretation of today's political, social, and economic reality, as the writings can often be considered "prophetic," primarily regarding the economic developments in the EU and the USA.
Several texts transcend the immediacy of the times and deal with timeless issues such as democracy, foreign policy, economic development, migration, entrepreneurship, agricultural economy, education, trust, science, rationality, culture, and more.
The book captures the tumultuous period of 2019-2023, where crises follow one another: refugee crisis, health crisis, energy crisis, and finally inflation crisis, until a "normality" begins to emerge both in our country and in Europe and the entire world, amidst geopolitical uncertainty with the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
The publication comes at a time when the EU is preparing to elect the new European Parliament and to account for a five-year term that proves to be rather positive. The EU not only endured the multiple crises but emerged more united after the pandemic, despite the initial "cacophony" on the issues of energy, green transition, and migration.
