The Artpol wood-cutting blade has 40 teeth and GS10 carbide tips with alternate bevel geometry, suitable for crosscutting. Its construction combines thermally improved 50# carbon steel with YG8 tungsten carbide, while the cutting edge has a hardness of 85 HRc (+/-2st). The blade cuts softwood and hardwood, wood-based materials, fiberboard and drywall.
The higher tooth count helps produce smooth surfaces, especially in dry wood. It can also be used for rip cuts, while the HM carbide allows repeated sharpening. The cutting edge is recommended to protrude by one-third of its height.
