Description & Specifications

The Artpol wood-cutting blade with 40 teeth features YG8 tungsten carbide cutting edges and a metal disc made of heat-treated 50# carbon steel. Its GS10 geometry, with alternating bevel teeth and a 10° rake angle, is designed for crosscutting wood. The higher tooth count helps produce smooth cut surfaces, particularly in dry wood. The cutting edge has a hardness of 85 HRc (±2), and the special sintered HM carbide allows repeated sharpening.

The metal disc is laser-cut and has a thickness that ensures rigidity and limits stress when working under heavy loads and at elevated temperatures. It is designed for industrial applications with power tools and is suitable for softwood and hardwood, wood-based materials, fibreboard and plasterboard. Blades with fewer teeth are recommended for rip cuts. For better cut quality and longer service life, the cutting edge should extend above the material by one third of its thickness. It is not intended for cutting concrete, bricks, terracotta, ceramics, plexiglass, other plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, or wood-based composite materials.
