Deluxe edition featuring works of embroidery, tailoring, and weaving arts originating from Istanbul and Pergamon in Asia Minor.

The embroideries, fabrics, and garments belong to the Sofianou family collection and complete a full dowry. Table covers, tablecloths, curtains, all kinds of needlework, bedspreads, covers, sheets, woven blankets, costumes, scarves, vests, shirts, underwear, pillows, unspooled fabrics, draft papers, threads, patterns, a rich and vibrant material comes to light with this edition, at a significant moment. This summer marks exactly one hundred years since the collection's arrival in Greece, before the first persecution, that of 1914.

The specially curated edition includes two hundred and forty original photographs of artistic interest, taken specifically and exclusively for this purpose. The texts provide the reader with information about the era, embroidery, silk, threads, various stitches, the art of weaving and silk production, and are enhanced with relevant poetic and literary excerpts.
