Tytan chemical gasket for wood is a liquid silicone sealant with an acidic (acetoxy) curing system. Once cured, it forms an elastic joint that withstands temperatures from -50 °C to 265 °C and, for short periods, up to 315 °C. It is resistant to grease, oils, cleaners and detergents, and provides an airtight, watertight seal with resistance to ultraviolet radiation.
It is used for bonding and sealing components that operate at high or low temperatures, such as engines, drive systems, radiators, pumps and engine heads. It is also suitable for chimney filters, heating elements, solar panels, smoke and ventilation ducts, as well as air-conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration units. It adheres to glass, ceramics, aluminium and metal.
