The price seemed a bit high, but after a few uses, I realized why it has this price. Its construction is sturdy. When we say sturdy, we mean that you can feel the density of the material just by holding it in your hands. The coffee it makes is excellent, although this depends on you and not on the coffee pot. I recommend it not only for the coffee it makes and its excellent construction, but also for the availability of spare parts in case something gets damaged.

The coffee it makes is very good. The bad review has to do with the rubber. I don't know if it's the store's fault, the supplier's, or Bialetti's, and in the end, I don't care. The product seems to have spent a long time in some warehouse and the rubber is unsuitable. It needs to be replaced. When I buy, I want it to be a new product and I want its consumables to be new as well.

    Bialetti 2 cups

In the end, those who recommended this method of making coffee were right.
I followed the instructions included in the package and threw away the first 3 coffees, after first using it without coffee, only with water.
With a simple, regular coffee, lavazza, I can say the result pleasantly surprised me!
The dose was exactly as much as a double-walled Nespresso glass and it was aromatic without strange flavors, etc.
From the beginning, I used room temperature water and low heat on the stove. When the brewing started, I removed the pot from the heat and brought it back when I saw the flow was decreasing a bit.
No splashes, nothing strange from the bottom with leaks as I had read.
Satisfied and definitely my next purchase will be a larger capacity Bialetti!

Epic! From the very first moment I got it, I loved it, it has already paid for itself with the coffees I would have bought outside! I have tried both espresso coffees from supermarkets, Lavazza, Coffee Island, as well as from a local coffee shop, and in every case it had very decent results! Personally, I prefer cold coffees, so after I prepare it with the briki, I pour the coffee with 3 ice cubes into a glass and whip it with a hand mixer until it becomes frothy, add more ice cubes and the result is amazing!

With proper use, it makes very nice coffee with body and taste, and it also makes very nice foam for the freddo. It should boil as slowly as possible; just before it reaches the middle, I take it off the heat and I don't let all the water come out. The first times when the water boiled quickly and in the end all the water from the bottom emptied, the coffee burned and came out disgusting. The best coffee from all the machines (around a hundred euros) I've had so far

The issue I have with this particular one is that when I go to pour the coffee into the cup (probably due to its construction), the coffee leaks to the side of the device and then onto the counter. I have had this type of device in the past but never faced such an issue. Material failure!? Poor design!? I wish I knew.

It took me quite some time to wash it in order to remove the factory oils from the manufacturing. After the necessary washing, I put 15g of coffee to enjoy its preparation. For heating, I used a natural gas stove. After 4 minutes, the product was in my cup. The briki did not make any crema. I got a watery boiled coffee, tasty indeed, but not with the image I had in my mind. So, you will make coffee without much fuss. As for the rest, it depends on your taste... you know how it goes.

I bought it for under €30 including shipping costs and I would say it definitely was worth the purchase and then some. It is a wonderful process, the whole experience, it just takes more time compared to a machine. Personally, I already use boiling water and low heat (4 on a ceramic stove). The result is tasty and a bit heavy for my taste (I generally drink americano), so I dilute it with a little water. I knew beforehand that it doesn't make crema, but that's not something that concerns me. As for its construction, it is quite sturdy, very elegant, and could make a nice gift choice for coffee lovers! ☕️

Regarding preparation, before drinking the coffee, I tried it once with just water and two more times with coffee, which I threw away, in order to get rid of the aluminum taste. I didn't notice any strange taste the first time I drank it. However, I haven't experimented with coffee varieties yet. I followed a familiar path, buying the crema e gusto from lavazza at the supermarket.

The coffee is perfect and the process is addictive. Watch the video on how to achieve the perfect result. I have settled on filtered water, at room temperature, just enough to touch the valve from below, on very low heat, and with the technique of removing from the heat when the coffee starts to come out of the chimney for about half a minute and then placing it back on the heat with pauses until it's finished. The funnel is full of coffee and slightly tapped to avoid leaving gaps.

With a manual grinder, freshly ground coffee, and an electric eye, it makes the best coffee you could drink. Okay, it doesn't have foam like the machine produces, but it is more than acceptable and obviously much superior to capsules.

I knew bialetti as a name in Italy but I never had any of its products. It was purchased on 8/1/2024 for €23, so that I can take it with me on trips, etc. Very high-quality product. It does its job perfectly, the amount that comes out is enough for 2 classic espresso cups, approximately 150-180 ml.

*tip The more espresso quantity you put in the funnel and fill it until it can't take anymore, the richer the espresso will be with a more intense flavor, etc

Excellent coffee and very good construction of the briki.
Having minimal experience, I tried the ground coffee from Dimello to practice and I was particularly satisfied. The metallic taste gradually disappears and it doesn't take long to cool down, so it's ready for a second coffee.
The only problem I initially had was some leaks, even though the instructions state not to tighten it too much during screwing. I don't know if I happened to have a faulty rubber, but my problem was fixed when I simply tightened it more. It is mentioned to change the rubber once a year, I hope it lasts. By the way, the difference in the rubber included in the package and the one I bought separately was huge.
Value for money, we won't order coffee from outside again!

    edit
Once in a while, I clean it as recommended by the company with vinegar for the salts and with baking soda for the coffee residues, and it remains shiny!

I have the briki for over 20 years! It requires a little experimentation, but the coffee it makes is excellent!! Don't "press" the coffee like they do in cafes, and a trick I "discovered" for perfect foam is to screw the top part after lightly wetting the inside that filters the coffee under the faucet!
    Good luck.

I bought it with the expectation that it would make good enough coffee so that I wouldn't have to buy a machine. The coffee is drinkable but the quality is mediocre at best. I know I'm comparing different things, but I had a simple Arielli coffee maker that cost 40€ and it made much better coffee, so I consider the 20€ to be too much in the end. However, it is very easy to use and the build quality is very good.

Amazing machine, from the best moka pot company. Attention... it doesn't make espresso... it makes moka and it makes it perfectly! For a perfect result (without burning the coffee), first boil the water you put in the pot and always wash ONLY with water! Finally, I recommend you to steer clear of supermarket coffee brands (although Illy is the best), and try the 2-3 varieties from Bialetti that have the perfect grind for Moka Express.

For the money, it performs just as well as machines that cost over 100 euros. Now I only make coffee in the briki, the coffee comes out stronger with the same amount as I used to use in the espresso machine, more aromatic, simply better. You need to find the rhythm to make good coffee, be careful not to overheat the water and make the coffee bitter, it took me a week to learn it but I want more time, dedicate time and you won't regret it.

Top in small Espresso machines. It has cheap spare parts and has nothing to do with noname equivalents in terms of material quality. I have put aside the expensive automatic Espresso machine from Krups that has been driving me crazy with its maintenance and noise. It may make good foam due to the 15bar, but it doesn't make better coffee.

Something that impressed me is that you can easily remove the metal filter and the rubber band for cleaning without any force on the materials.
It holds approximately 95gm of water, 11gm of coffee, and produces a 70gm beverage.

This one makes a very nice coffee, there are also some videos on YouTube that tell you exactly how to make espresso. It is ideal because it has a double spout, so it is convenient for freddo as well. The only downside is that it leaves a little sediment in the finely ground coffee.

By far the original coffee maker for proper espresso. The authentic Italian moka. Any imitation simply shows in the taste.

    Good luck.

or the Bialetti has thrown its quality in the trash or the specific coffee maker that I bought is rubbish. The build quality and the coffee it makes have nothing to do with the other 2 that I have

I have it for 2 months and I am very satisfied. With the right coffee quality, you have a very good result in your cup. Easy to use but it requires you to have the desire to make your coffee because it takes 3-4 minutes to prepare it.

  • Epic!

  • With proper use, it makes very nice coffee with body and taste, and it also makes very nice foam for the freddo.

  • The issue I have with this particular one is that when I go to pour the coffee into the cup (probably due to its construction), the coffee leaks to the side of the device and then onto the counter. I have had this type of device in the past but never faced such an issue. Material failure!? Poor design!? I wish I knew.

  • It took me quite some time to wash it in order to remove the factory oils from the manufacturing.
