Timer relays with off delay are used to maintain the power supply to the controlled device for a specific period after the absence of the control power. For example, in bathroom ventilation systems, where the fan remains on for a certain period after the light is turned off.

Operation:

• The supply of control voltage S to the relay causes it to operate and supply power to the controlled fan.
• After the absence of the control voltage, the operation of the device is maintained for a specific time t (adjustable with a potentiometer).
• After the time t elapses, the controlled fan will be turned off automatically.
• If the control voltage S returns before the set time elapses, the relay will start its operation from the beginning.
