All objects reflect the light of the environment. Shiny surfaces cause strong and directed reflection, while matte surfaces reflect weakly and diffusely. This light causes the true colors of the objects to accumulate, resulting in a milky overlay.
Since this overlay is "polarized" in the overwhelming majority of cases - especially in the side light of the sun - the result is a "flattening" of colors, which we can prevent in a very simple way: a polarizer positioned on the lens and adjusted to the optimal position.
The PRAKTICA circular filter blocks polarized light, bringing the colors in your photos back to life. In the case of mirrorless cameras, the optimal filter position is visible in the viewfinder. For other cameras, simply hold the filter in front of your eye and attach it to the lens in the position that corresponds to this setting.
A circular polarizing filter can be used to weaken or enhance reflections created when light falls sideways on shiny glass, plastic, painted, or water surfaces. Thanks to the use of a circular polarizing filter, the colors in your photos will come alive again.
