The Satel APD-200-PET wireless infrared motion detector is used with the ABAX 2 and ABAX two-way wireless systems. PET mode helps prevent false alarms caused by pets weighing up to 20 kg. Its operation is supported by a quad pyroelement, a detection algorithm and dynamic temperature compensation. The detection range is 14 m, with a detection angle of 83°.

It is powered by a CR123A 3 V battery. Tamper protection detects opening or removal, and remote configuration and firmware updates are available for managing the detector. AES encryption is supported by ABAX 2, while ECO mode, also available only with ABAX 2, can extend battery life by up to four times.
