The Satel APMD-250 curtain motion detector combines two infrared (PIR) sensors with a microwave (MW) sensor and operates wirelessly via the ABAX 2 and ABAX systems. Its detection area reaches 15 × 24 m, with a 90° angle, while the sensitivity of the PIR and MW sensors can be adjusted independently. It features digital signal processing and dynamic temperature compensation, as well as creep-zone control.

Configuration and software updates can be performed remotely. The ABAX 2 system supports AES encryption and ECO mode, which can extend battery life up to four times. The detector features an LED indicator for testing, battery monitoring, and tamper protection against opening and removal, while its adjustable bracket allows for wall or ceiling mounting.
