This adapter allows the connection of a front panel USB Type-C port to an internal 20 Pin USB 3.0 header on the motherboard. It is mainly suitable for USB 3.1 compatible I/O panels when these only have external ports that need to be connected via the back side of the case to the motherboard's external connection area. Since these ports are not available for other purposes, internal connection is recommended, which is now available (check the motherboard specifications). The adapter is placed on the 20-Pin USB 3.0 header and the cables from the I/O panel connect to it. The adapter supports transfer speeds up to 5 Gbit/s, according to USB 3.1 specifications.
