The AWTools AW00070 coal shovel has a wide, powder-coated hardened steel blade with raised sides to prevent material from spilling. Shaped reinforcements strengthen the blade. The straight, smooth wooden shaft is nailed in place and ends in a T-grip handle.

It is used for adding coal or removing ash, as well as for moving sand, soil, rubble, coal and snow.
