The Exo Terra thermostat precisely controls the terrarium temperatures and is ideal for use with heat mats and heat cables. It features a waterproof remote sensor and controls heating devices up to 100W.
Reptiles are ectothermic and require heat from an external source to thermoregulate their optimal body temperature. Providing an appropriate temperature gradient in the terrarium is crucial for their successful maintenance.
The Exo Terra ON/OFF electronic thermostat allows you to maintain the required temperature conditions similar to those found in desert or tropical environments. It also helps prevent overheating and undercooling during hot summer days or cold winter nights.
The Triac electronic switch maintains the temperature more accurately compared to conventional thermostats. Simply connect the Heat Mat, Heat Cable, or Ceramic Heater to the Exo Terra ON/OFF thermostat, set the preferred temperature, and place the heat sensor at the desired location.
The red heat indicator LED will light up when the heating device is on. The thermostat's recessed dial prevents accidental temperature changes. It features a 3.6-foot / 110 cm power cord with a grounded plug for increased safety.
The waterproof remote sensor can be safely used in humid terrariums and aquatic environments. The Exo Terra thermostat should be set according to the animals' needs.
Research the preferred optimal temperature range (POTR) for your specific reptile to create the appropriate conditions in the terrarium.
