The Omnigena OMIS 25-60/180 recirculation pump is used for circulating hot water, both in closed and open systems. The pump features 3 speed settings.
The pumped liquid must be clean, free from solid impurities or oils, non-viscous, chemically neutral, and similar to the properties of water (maximum 30% glycol). The hot water circulation pump from Omnigena is used to reduce the circulation time of hot water. Thus, we can use the shower without waiting too long for the hot water to arrive. The circulation pump can be used in both closed and open water supply systems.
The main advantage of using such pumps is that they help achieve much higher energy efficiency. By reducing waiting time, energy consumption decreases, leading to lower costs. The pump is useful both when using water extracted from a well and when using water from the national water supply network.
The pump quickly replaces cold water in the pipes with hot water, so we can benefit from hot water for showers, baths, or dishwashing much more quickly. It is quite unpleasant to wait seconds or even minutes for the hot water to arrive, especially when we are in a hurry. By using the circulation pump, we will eliminate this inconvenience, especially if we use direct heating devices for hot water production or heating systems with water heating function for domestic use.
The pump contributes to increasing the efficiency of the boiler, the heating system, or the direct heating device. If preparing hot water takes too long, it means excessive energy is being consumed, and cold water in the pipes is being wasted. Thus, we consume more resources and pay more in utility bills. The circulation pump will reduce the hot water preparation time, creating increased comfort and helping us save.
We will benefit from continuous hot water, without waiting times, saving money and resources. All with the help of the hot water circulation pump.
The pump should be installed as follows:
- The pump is installed with the motor shaft in a horizontal position.
- Before installing the pump, a cleaning filter must be installed to protect the device from impurities.
- The required water flow must be in accordance with the arrow indicated on the pump body.
- It must always be installed in a horizontal position. Installing the pump in another position will lead to premature wear of the bearings and the pump block.
- The area where the pump will be installed must be covered and free from moisture.
- The pump must be installed in an easily accessible location for maintenance and ventilation.
Maintenance and operation:
- The device only needs checking at startup or after a longer pause (e.g., before the heating season starts).
- After a long pause or before the first installation, check that the motor shaft is not blocked.
This should be done as follows:
- Open the release valve, in the resulting hole the visible edge of the rotor with a cross-section will be. Using a straight screwdriver, turn the shaft in the direction indicated on the pump body. After performing these procedures, tighten the release valve and start the pump at the highest speed (third).
The complete installation and maintenance procedure for the pump is described in the manual provided with the device.
