Cranberry is rich in proanthocyanidins (PACs), which help reduce the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract wall, making the urine pH more acidic. This reduces the likelihood of microbial adhesion and consequently the concentration of bacterial load in the area. Thus, it prevents the occurrence of urinary tract infections and cystitis.
Mannose (D-mannose) is a simple sugar produced in small quantities by the human body, not metabolized and excreted unchanged through the urine. It has a protective action for the urinary system against infections & chronic inflammations (urinary tract infections, cystitis) from coliform bacteria, such as E. Coli. It helps in their natural removal and prevents the formation of inflammation while also contributing to the reduction of unpleasant symptoms.
