The Klein Scout® Pro 3 cable tester tests data and video cabling, as well as voice connections, using RJ11/12, RJ45 and F connectors. It measures cable length and checks for miswires, split pairs, short circuits, open circuits and shielding issues. It also identifies and tests PoE, PoE+ and voltage.

The backlit LCD displays cable length and wiremap, cable identification and test results. The hub blink mode helps locate a port on a hub or switch, while the multifunction tone generator locates cables, pairs and individual conductors using the VDV500-123 analog probe, sold separately.
