  • Amazing book if you want to learn about all the mechanisms and the composition of the earth. From the core to the upper layers of the atmosphere, the book leaves nothing out. It is definitely not a children's book and for some things you might need to look them up online to fully understand them, even though the book is detailed and comprehensive. In general, it's not for a quick read. The enjoyment comes from the urge it creates in you to want to keep reading and delve further.

Since there is no Greek translation of the book, with Gemini/ChatGPT you can translate any pages you want in seconds by taking a photo. Now, translations are at a professional level, with very rare mistakes. I made a folder on Google Drive and put the translations for each double-page spread in it. I printed a barcode and stuck it inside the book so that all visitors at home can have access to the translation. Also, for any pages I want to read to my child, I ask Gemini to write them in a way that is understandable for a child of the age I want.

The book is beautiful, with very heavy images and impeccable paper quality. The entire The Definitive Visual Guide series are perfect coffee table books and whoever opens them will definitely get hooked and not get bored.
