SCHOTT optical glass and multiple coatings help protect the lens from dust, dirt, scratches, and abrasions. The coatings include water-repellent, dirt- and grease-resistant, and enhanced scratch-protection layers.

The filter also functions as a UV filter and is designed to prevent vignetting without adversely affecting photo or video quality. A MICROFAB cloth for cleaning optical elements is included, and the packaging makes the filter easy to transport while protecting it from scratches and damage.
