Sanitec stainless steel sinks are made from 18/10 stainless steel, which resists corrosion by forming a very thin and rough oxide layer that removes rust. The oxide layer, when it comes into contact with oxygen, heals any scratches or other types of damage, helping to prevent corrosion and maintain the shine of the surface.
Maintenance and Care: Sanitec stainless steel sinks require minimal maintenance to keep their shine and beauty. For cleaning, neutral cleaners are recommended, particularly those specialized for stainless surfaces ("Buffel Inox"). To prevent the accumulation of salts and residues, wipe your sink with a cotton cloth. Sinks with a satin finish should be cleaned and dried in the direction of the finish.
Avoid leaving sponges, salts, corrosive substances, sharp, hot, or iron objects in your sink for extended periods as they may cause discoloration or scratches.
