The Dimplex XHD 26 electric fireplace can be recessed into an existing fireplace or a structure such as plasterboard, and can also be wall-mounted. Optiflame 3D technology creates a flame effect with LED lighting and a log imitation, and the effect works independently of the heating. The heat output is controlled digitally or manually via the thermostat.

The flame offers a choice of three colours, three motion speeds and three brightness levels. The fireplace can be operated using its touchscreen or the remote control, while the timer can be set to switch the unit off automatically after 0.5 to 8 hours.
