The Lindy 38396 AV transmitter transmits video and audio signals over IP and supports resolutions of up to 3840 × 2160 pixels at 30 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. It supports HDCP 2.2 and CEC standards, as well as EDID for video compatibility. It features H.264 and H.265 encoding, KVM support and a web-based control interface.

It connects via Gigabit Ethernet and supports Cat6 cables. Its connections include HDMI, a USB host port with a USB Type-B connector, and an RS-232 serial interface. It is powered by 12 V DC and also supports PoE.
