The TP-LINK EAP215-Bridge KIT access point is useful for creating or extending a wireless network to connect multiple devices. It broadcasts signal on two frequencies, 2.4 & 5GHz. It offers higher speeds compared to single band and connection of more devices. The 2.4GHz frequency is the most widespread and has a long range. The 5GHz provides higher speed than the 2.4GHz but is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g., walls) that reduce its range. This difference, as well as its more limited use, helps it have fewer interferences from other networks. It offers up to 867Mbps in total to the devices connected to it. In practice, the actual speed shared among devices is closer to 150Mbps. It is of Wi-Fi 5 generation, the most widespread Wi-Fi standard, which can meet the needs of most users for now. There is now also the next generation Wi-Fi 6, which offers the ability to connect many more devices to accommodate the increasing number of smart devices in a home.
