Description

Description

The AMD Ryzen 7 8700F processor is based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture (2024). It features 8 cores with 16 Threads. More cores provide increased power in programs that take advantage of a greater number of cores. Threads allow the processor to run multiple applications simultaneously, completing tasks faster. Its maximum frequency is 5.0 GHz.

It incorporates 16 MB of Cache memory. Cache memory is a very important feature, as the larger it is, the less time the processor needs to retrieve data from the computer’s main memory, which significantly increases performance.

It features the AM5 Socket and will need to be installed on a motherboard with the corresponding Socket.

The Ryzen 7 8700F is a powerful processor, making it ideal for work environments where several applications and browser windows need to be open at the same time. It does not have an integrated graphics circuit, so your system will require a separate graphics card.

The fastest in the game

Do you play games or are you a content creator? In either case, you need an AMD Ryzen™ 8000 F-Series desktop processor and with a discrete graphics card you will enjoy excellent performance. The AMD Ryzen™ 8000 F-Series desktop processors are the perfect means to experience exciting moments with modern games, work with multi-threaded applications, and perform 3D and video rendering or software compiling.

Cutting-edge Technologies

The new AMD Ryzen™ 8000 F-Series processors incorporate the most advanced features and capabilities to keep you at the top of your game. Along with top-tier processing power, they offer cutting-edge technologies designed to provide you with ultimate performance when you need it, including Precision Boost 2, Precision Boost Overdrive, PCIe® 4.0 and 5.0, and DDR5 memory support in a Dual Channel configuration with AMD EXPO™.

"Zen 4" Architecture

The new AMD Ryzen™ 8000 F-Series processors are designed based on the new "Zen 4" architecture (and Zen 4c depending on the model) and are manufactured using the 4nm FinFET method to support an increased number of instructions per clock cycle (IPC, Instructions per Cycle) compared to the previous generation and a higher maximum boost frequency for even higher performance when you need it. The TDP is limited to 65W for low overall consumption.

Precision Boost 2

The Precision Boost 2 feature in processors increases core operating frequencies for enhanced performance where you need it most, whether you are a gamer or a content creator.

Precision Boost Overdrive

Precision Boost Overdrive leverages your motherboard's enhanced design and features to boost performance by increasing clock speeds higher and for longer periods. It also gives you the ability to overclock with the press of a button.

  • This processor for 150€ is very good. I would recommend it if you wanted to buy a processor for about that amount of money.

It is a very good processor but it has a small issue. It does not support PCIe 5. With a little more money, you can get a processor that supports it.

Purchased on 29/10 for 180€ (tray version). At the same time, the 7500f was priced at 160€. If you want a processor purely for a gaming PC, the 7500f is more cost-effective as it will provide more fps at a lower price. However, if you are multitasking and need more cores and threads (e.g., streaming), you will notice a difference from the 7500f. As of November 9th, when this review is made, the 8700f is priced at 210€, a price at which I do not recommend purchasing it. The images are with 3060ti 32gb ram at 6000
