The dog rose (Rosa canina), known as wild rose, is a plant with a rich history in tradition and mythology. It has many beneficial properties and is used as a tonic against exhaustion and vitamin deficiency.
The wild rose contains a large amount of vitamin C, as well as vitamins A, B, and K. Additionally, it contains gallic acid, tannin, flavonoid pigments, carotenoids, pectin, and essential oil. It is a beneficial herb for the skin and helps restore hormonal balance.
The fruit of the dog rose has nourishing properties and acts as a mild laxative, diuretic, and astringent. It helps strengthen the immune system, combat infections and colds, as well as assist in cases of constipation and gallbladder problems.
It is prepared as an infusion. Add 15g of chopped fruit to a cup of water, simmer for 10 minutes, and strain. It is recommended to consume 1-2 times a day. Dosage: 2-4 ml three times a day.
The use of wild rose is contraindicated in cases of thrombophlebitis or predisposition to it.
