Mowgli, the boy who grew up with the wolves, eventually faced reality. He was a human, not one of them. Although the She-Wolf who raised him, Akela, the leader of the pack, Baloo, the great brown bear, and Bagheera, the black panther, were on his side, Shere Khan, the fearsome tiger of the jungle, along with the young wolves would never accept him. Thus, the boy decided to leave behind everything he had ever known and go live with humans. But even they – although they were his tribe – could not accept him. And there Mowgli wondered: was he a child of men or wolves?

The Jungle Book was written in 1894 by Nobel Prize-winning author Rudyard Kipling. To this day, it remains a favorite read for both young and old.
