I had the first Watch Fit for many years and decided to go for something similar but newer and with additional features. As strange as it may seem, the old Watch Fit I had was much more accurate in its measurements. Moving on to the Watch Fit 3, initially, when I made the wrist movement that should turn on the screen, many times it didn’t register and I had to repeat the same motion 2 or 3 times.
Now, for the important parts, many times I could be standing and at that moment it would send me a notification that I needed to stand up. During sleep, it didn’t measure correctly, as I would wake up several times and it wouldn’t detect it, or it would simply show that I woke up when the alarm went off or when I got out of bed, even though I had woken up much earlier (so it just detects movement).
At various times, when I was walking a distance, it would freeze and not measure correctly. I emphasize all this because honestly, the first Watch Fit detected everything to an extreme degree. I could wake up during my sleep for 1 minute without moving much and obviously without getting up, and it would detect it.
By buying the Watch Fit 3, I expected to see something better in terms of features and not something worse compared to the first one that came out.
Update: 1.5 months after buying it, the smartwatch developed some pixels on the screen and then turned off. I tried to restart it and at first it worked. After a while, it did the same thing again until it turned off completely and wouldn’t turn on at all.
I probably happened to get a defective product, there’s no other explanation. It obviously hadn’t been in seawater or anything like that. My usage was impeccable.
For the past 2 weeks, I have returned it to the store where I bought it through Skroutz because it is covered by the warranty. I hope the product will be replaced or I will get a refund.
I saw that many people who bought the latest Huawei smartwatch models also got defective ones. It’s really a shame because until now I trusted this company because I knew they made very high-quality products.
If my device is not fully replaced or I don’t get a refund, I personally will never buy Huawei again.
It should be noted that the service keeps postponing updates about any news.
Update after 4 months of using the new watch (full replacement):
The new watch has nothing to do with the old one. Obviously, I had gotten a defective product, but we’re talking about products, so these things happen.
Overall, the whole replacement process was flawless from Skroutz and the store. 5/5
