I got them for the holiday lights, I put one in a protected outdoor area, they worked just fine.

I have about 26 of these so I think my opinion is valid. They are very good gadgets that have made my life easier. I have only 2 negatives: first, there isn’t as much programmability as I would like, there are specific options (for example, I want to set it so that when the consumption drops below a certain number of watts, the device turns off, something that can be done with the Tuya app but not with TP-Link), and second, the WiFi antennas they have are terrible. They need a very strong signal to work properly and sometimes, if the WiFi is dual band, they can’t even detect it. They are worth it for ease of use at home, but for mass use like I do with pools and lights, maybe another brand is needed that has more options in the app.

I got them and connected one to the Christmas tree and one to the lights on the balcony for Christmas. I programmed them to turn on and off by themselves, so I didn't have to worry about the daily turning on and off, going out to the balcony, etc. They also measure the consumption, which is a positive aspect.

They replaced sockets with remote controls that all broke at once and operated lights.
Very easy setup, immediate response to commands. You can also program it for turning on and off, and it also measures consumption, this model.

Very useful device.
I did not expect my refrigerator to have such high consumption, especially on hot days it almost doubles.

I bought the pair to use them with the Christmas tree and the lights on the balcony.
Connection with the management application is immediate and without problems. I connected them directly with Google Assistant, gave them different names, and open/close them with voice commands whenever needed.
Through the application, there are firmware updates and a scheduling function (for the whole week to open/close). Especially the lights on the balcony now work automatically and I don't have to deal with them at all.
After the holidays, they will find another place inside the house.
