In this new edition of the book The Globalization of International Politics, we have followed a similar format and structure as previous editions, but we have added several new and exciting chapters that we believe make this already popular and successful book even better.

These changes are based on the editors' insights regarding the changes occurring in the field of International Relations, but also respond to the feedback from students and comments from professors and students of International Relations, as well as the extremely detailed evaluations of the seventh edition commissioned by Oxford University Press. Together, all this feedback helped us identify a number of additional areas that needed to be covered.

We have included a thoroughly rewritten chapter on globalization and global politics that explores the impact of today’s globalization crisis on global politics and the global order. We made the excellent section on the diversity of theoretical perspectives even better by enhancing the historical framing of the theories that have shaped the field and including a new chapter on post-colonial and de-colonial approaches.

We improved the section on international issues by commissioning new chapters on human rights and refugees and forced migration. We have also updated the learning features, including almost many brand new case studies and numerous new bibliography suggestions for further exploration.
